Profile:

Mr. Arturo Díaz-Abramo is a corporate attorney and Special Of-Counsel with the Firm’s Corporate & Real Estate Department. His practice includes Corporate, Corporate Finance, Securities, Public Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Private Equity, with emphasis on transactional corporate and finance practice.

Mr. Diaz-Abramo has represented a variety of U.S. and international public and private companies in joint ventures/strategic alliances; mergers; acquisitions and divestitures; equity and debt offerings; private equity transactions; and private client practice.

Also, Mr. Díaz-Abramo has acted as lead counsel or co-lead counsel in an array of public and private debt and equity issuances by the largest mutual fund family in Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and certain of its agencies, public corporations and instrumentalities.  Additionally, his practice focuses on the representation of a variety of U.S. and international public and private companies and government entities (including the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico) in all manner of transactions.

Prior to joining the Firm in the spring of 2009, Mr. Diaz-Abramo was a Member of the San Juan law firm, Quiñones & Sanchez, PSC, from 2005-2009. In 1997, he started his career at the International New York firm of Kaye Scholer LLP as an associate in the Corporate and Finance Department, where he practiced for eight years.  During his tenure at both firms, Mr. Diaz-Abramo was exposed to and participated actively in virtually every type of corporate and commercial transaction requiring legal expertise; specifically in the areas of: Complex Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Public Financing, Complex Negotiations of Strategic Alliances and Joint Ventures, and General Securities Law Compliance.
